Below are shirt fabrics that we have on hand. You can choose a single fabric, or two fabrics to be used as contrasts. The contrast fabric can be used on the button hole band, the neck back, the cuffs, or in any way that appeals to you. The shirt we create for you can be as conservative or bold or funky or anything in between that you like. Your imagination is the limit. Don’t see something you like, contact us and we can search for the “perfect” fabric for you. As our name says, these are Sewn by Request, your request. Pick the fabric, choose the style details that you want (collar, cuff, buttons on the cuff–1,2, (+ button on the placket or not), give us your measurements (see our How to Measure a Shirt page )
Most are 100% cotton or cotton blend. Fabric prices are $30-40 per shirt depending on the fabric. We can get linen but the fabric cost with linen is $60-$100 depending on what you pick. Sometimes we can find bargains, and if so, we pass on the savings. We don’t make money on the fabric cost. We charge for our time and efforts. It takes 10-15 hours to create a shirt. Rayon is also a choice. Rayon is a light-weight and silky-feel fabric, usually made from wood fibers, bamboo and other fibers. Bamboo is in the price range close to linen. Other rayons are usually economical and similar in price to cotton. We are happy to discuss the options with you.

Shirt Group 3 – Pin stripe group — Note re the white with fine navy & red pin stripes, we got a very good deal on this fabric and we have a bolt of it–enough to make 10+ shirts. It is 100% cotton, very soft and comfortable. We are running a special on it, $20. for the fabric + labour of $175 + tax. Basic Shipping is included in the price
